Certificate of Conformity

A Certificate of Conformity is a certificate that states an item of in-scope electrical equipment risk Level 3 meets the relevant standard.

A Certificate of Conformity is a statement through an independent review of evidence of compliance to the relevant standard, that the equipment type is electrically safe. A certificate of conformity is required for level 3 equipment before the item can be registered on the EESS Registration Database.

A Responsible Supplier is required to hold or have access to a Certificate of Conformity for each electrical equipment type or family of in-scope electrical equipment risk Level 3 that it offers for sale.

Note: Not all certificates from Regulatory Authorities and private certification body are currently listed on this EESS Certification Database; EESS have made access to the database, to upload certificate details, available to certifiers who that have signed the ‘deed of access’.
