Information and Advisory Notices

Electrical Safety Regulators provide guidance and interpretations from time to time for designers, Responsible Suppliers, Certificate Holders and certifiers, particularly in respect to Australian Standards.

General Guidance Notices and Information Bulletins have been consolidated into a single document category, now titled Information Bulletins. From June 2026 onwards, all new documents will be issued under this title.

 

Information Bulletins

The documents titled ‘General Guidance Notices’ listed below remain current and for the purposes of the EESS are considered to be ‘Information Bulletins’.

The Information Bulletins listed below are also current and are provided for clarification, direction and interpretations applying in the EESS. They are used for requirements on certification, details required in Technical Construction Files, and meeting minimum safety requirements in the EESS.

Notices Under Consideration

The below information notices are under consideration, it is recommended that these notices be taken in to consideration when assessing compliance with AS/NZS 3820, when creating a technical construction file or making an assessment for certification purposes.
